Cost-Effective Drug Trials with I-Know
The I-Know consortium firmly believes that the results of the I-Know project will lead not only to considerable reductions of the costs of drug trials but also to a reduction of the trial period.
· I-Know will be the first to use data mining in testing the efficacy of new drug candidates in phase II of drug development
· I-Know provides a platform for modelling beneficial or adverse effect recorded during clinical trials, allowing optimal use of preclinical data in subsequent individualized patient management
· I-Know is designed to integrate data across descriptive levels to devise disease models that will bring scientific progress not only to stroke research but also to health research
